Parents' and Grandparent's Reflection

Online Prayer Reflections

For Parents, Carers and Grandparents

Dear Parents, Carers and Grandparents,

We are delighted each year to invite parents, carers and grandparents to join our ‘Parents’ Reflections’, aimed at giving members of our school community the opportunity to come together to pray and reflect.

What is a prayer reflection?  It is a time to be still and listen. A time to deepen our faith and consider our spiritual growth.

Why are parents encouraged to attend prayer reflections?  We hope that our reflections will help develop your spiritual growth and support you and your children in their faith journey. Here at St. Vincent’s, creating a distinctive atmosphere for spiritual growth is at the centre of all teaching. The children are encouraged to pray, reflect, contemplate and make links with daily life and religion every day. We hope to share this distinctive atmosphere with you.

Who can attend?  Any parent, carer or grandparent of children in nursery through to year 6 can attend. We also welcome school governors to this special reflection.

Will I have to read or say anything? No one will be asked to say anything they do not want to do. The aim is to create a feeling of calm and relaxation. There will be an opportunity to volunteer to lead the following week’s reflection at the end of each meeting.

When and when will reflections taking place? The meeting invite, time and location will be sent to parents in an email and also in the weekly Head teacher’s newsletter on Fridays. The reflection lasts for approximately 20 minutes. The dates and themes are as follows:
