The GDPR law is reinforcing the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA); the latter has been replaced with the general data protection regulations (GDPR) today which improves on DPA’s principles in the way personal and sensitive data is managed. In school, we take DPA seriously and we will step up to the same commitment with GDPR. This is, however, an ongoing commitment, therefore, we will adjust and refine policy and actions as appropriate and as dictated by statutory guidance; we will keep you informed along the way.
