Science

We have been thinking about the key ingredients we needs to be great scientists.

Science teaching at our school is great when:

1. Children are engaged in practical activities and experiments which develop their understanding.

2. Children are appropriately challenged and able to explain their results.

3. Resources, planning and practical activities are well prepared, organised and relevant to engage and actively involve all children in the lesson.

4. Children are encouraged to think and work scientifically.

5. Children make links to previous learning.

6. Children have the opportunity to ask and answer questions.
