Dyslexia Awareness Week - No pen Wednesday!

Today we have had lots of fun learning without using pens! We've been doing lots of problem solving and thinking outside the box! We started the day with a Bollywood dance for our 5-a-day exercise to get the blood pumping then we played our new favourite maths game 'Just a minute', can you talk for a minute about everything you know about a triangular prism or the number 25? It's harder than it sounds! We followed this by code breaking and magic tricks using calculators. After breaktime we channeled 'The Apprentice' by devising our most persuasive shopping style sales pitches for the 'St Vincent's Shopping Channel' and recorded them on the iPads. In the afternoon we learnt about the origins of Origami and got creative making dogs, flowers, cranes, dragons and many more out of simple squares of coloured paper!
