The opening statement in the inspection report reads ‘Pupils are happy and flourish at this exceptional school’. This encapsulates what we want for our children and we are pleased that the inspectors affirmed this.
Inspectors wrote, ‘The school sets an extremely high bar for pupils’ academic achievement’ and that ‘Pupils, including those with special educational needs achieve extremely well.’
We were also pleased that the report highlighted our, ‘Expertly and meticulously crafted curriculum’ where the report went on to state, ‘Staff take every opportunity to enhance and ignite pupils’ curiosity and thirst for learning’.
Inspectors observed lessons and stated that, Staff ensure that pupils regularly visit the prior knowledge that they have been taught before moving on to new learning…This supports pupils to develop an exceptionally strong body of knowledge over time.
Pupil leadership was also highlighted, ‘Pupils throughout the school benefit from an array of leadership opportunities…pupils develop qualities such as resilience and independence that prepare them exceptionally well for the next stage in their education’.
We were very pleased that alongside the complementary comments about our curriculum, teaching and attainment, that our ethos was also referred to. The report stated that ‘Pupils behaviour was impeccable in class, during social times and as they move around the school’.
We know that our school community is very special and we were pleased to read that it was recognised by inspectors, stating that, ‘The school fosters an impressively strong community spirit.’
We are looking forward to building on this report and continuing to prioritise educational excellence alongside personal development to ensure the very best quality of education for every pupil in our school

RE Inspection Report October 2023
St Vincent's Catholic Primary School is an outstanding, joy-filled school which celebrates the uniqueness of all within its community and strives to live out daily its mission statement, 'Let Your Light Shine'.
Pupils say they love their school and feel that it is a very special place; they say they feel safe, secure, nurtured and encouraged to be the best they can be.
Parents recognise how much their children benefit from the emphasis placed on Catholic Life and Mission. One parent said, 'The Catholic faith is central to everything it does, and my children are learning from a young age how to be loving and kind to everyone.
Pupils knowledge and understanding is excellent, fully supported by recap and recall practices at the beginning of lessons. This ensures pupils remember what they learn and as a result make at least good and often outstanding progress.
Being able to prepare pupil worship at home extends the opportunity for parents to be more fully involved in their children's prayer life.
Prayer and liturgy is central to the life of the school with well established daily prayer routines, weekly teacher led and pupil led prayer and liturgy.
