Girls Football League
St. Vincent's girls came out in force on the opening day of the Trafford girls football league, with two teams in action. Mr Blain saw the girls A team work well as a team as they beat Altrincham CofE 6-0 and Stamford Park 9-0. Every player played well with special mentions to Imogen for her incredible goal whilst doing the splits and to Lottie for scoring from just past the half way line. The whole team won man of the match, as everyone played so well!
Mr Nicholls saw the girls B team play some incredibly difficult opposition, including last year's league champions Bollin. The girls were very brave and a special mention must go to Molly who played superbly in goal and to Suzanna, who scored the team's first goal of the season. In the end, The girls were beaten 6-0 by Bollin, 5-0 by Heyes Lane A and 3-2 by Heyes Lane B.
The next set of fixtures will be played in two weeks. Keep up the hard work girls.
